Mr. Savethewall - Save the Spray Can - Nothing Is Forever

Finally, the Spray Can Mr. Savethewall collection arrived at Deodato Arte!

Mr. Savethewall brings the project to life by combining the spray cans used in the creation of his canvases with new and unprecedented stickers. From an artistic tool, the spray can becomes a true work of art and an icon of street art itself.

Each canister is a unique piece signed by the artist. Fingerprints, paint drips and other details make each one authentic, a witness to the artistic process. Only the cans used by the artist are customised and reworked: availability is extremely limited!

The Spray Can comes with exclusive packaging and accompanies the artwork with the motto "Can you save the spray can?", which becomes the emblem of Mr. Savethewall's art.

Nothing is forever depicts the anthropomorphic frog in front of a painting that recalls Damien Hirst's iconic work, Spot paintings. Although the colourful dots recall Hirst's work, Mr. Savethewall modifies the dots, dropping some of them and showing some of them on the verge of being detached, hence the title of the work Nothing is forever.

The spray can of Mr. Savethewall, Save the Spray Can, Nothing is Forever measures 18,5x6,6 cm and is signed in original with a holographic stamp certifying its authenticity.

The Spray Can Project

The new and exclusive project by street artist Mr. Savethewall combines two iconic and significant tools of street art: the spray can and the sticker.

Many times we do not realise that it is not the tool that makes the artist. Sticker, stencil and spray can are the tools, but the result depends on who uses them. - Mr. Savethewall

The inspiration came from Los Angeles, where the artist Mr. Savethewall is struck by the proliferation of urban art, particularly sticker art.

MR. SAVETHEWALL BIOGRAPHY

Pierpaolo Perretta, aka Mr. Savethewall, is an Italian artist from Como. Mr. Savethewall was not immediately born as an artist. In fact, he began his career in a very different world from the artistic one, where he also became an important manager. As time goes by, however, he begins to feel the need for a change, to finally put his great creativity and talent to good use.

In Mr. Savethewall's works, it is clear to perceive an interpretation of today's society in an ironic and critical key. His works indeed present strong, direct and targeted messages. Mr. Savethewall's aim is not only to communicate his personal vision of society to his audience, but also to convey messages that are as clear as they are provocative, prompting the viewer to reflect personally on the world around him and its contradictions. From this comes the use of famous and immediately recognisable images and subjects, to which he also adds texts. In doing so, he not only makes the message even easier to grasp, but also leaves no room for misinterpretation.

THE ICONIC SUBJECT: THE FROG BY MR. SAVETHEWALL

Famous all over the world is Mr. Savethewall's depiction of the well-dressed and elegant contemporary man who, however, has the appearance of a Frog. The artist's aim is to warn of the falsity of the famous fairy tale of the Princess and the Frog: the frog, even if he turns into a prince, is still a frog. The true moral of the tale is therefore that, as the artist himself states, 'a frog, even if well dressed, is and always remains a frog'.
